Quinn and Al have brought in a ringer for their caking team. Seeing that we allowed them to add a person to their team, when only the two of them challenged us, I feel it’s only fair that they divulge who this mystery person is.

The Offensive Cake-Off happens on Saturday March 21 at 7:30. Voting til 9:30 then we’re kicking you out before 11 because a) the neighbours don’t like late night noise and b) there is probably something better to do. Like Glory Days.

For a shameless plug, obvi… (come on, who doesn’t need a shameless plug now and then.)
So I am flying solo on a birthday cake for the third time today/tomorrow, although this one promises to be at least moderately more offensive than my last two solo creations. I’m not ready to completely divulge what the cake is, but I will post photos after Saturday night. Suffice it to say it is a bit of a technical departure from what we have been doing and I am hoping it will turn out ok.
That being said, if anyone knows of anyone who needs a personalized (preferrably offensive/ sassy/ technically difficult) cake, I would be more than happy to make it. Please spread the word. As always, the cakes are free for friends, and at cost for friends of friends.
I’m hoping to get a little portfolio happening and to someday (hopefully in the not too distant future) charge a little bit of real money, but for now it’s just a hobby.
This cake is the second non-offensive cake and also the second time I have caked without help. It was for the Discorder 25th Anniversary party and was modelled after Discorder layout circa 2005.

I made this face cake for my roommate on our housewarming/Al’s birthday party extravaganza last summer.
It is one of only two times that I have ever flown solo on a cake. It also happens to be one of the only two non-offensive cakes I have ever made.
